CPA Hiring Exercise:
Program Operations Director
Please spend no more than an hour working through the following exercises. There is no single right answer. Through these exercises, we are hoping to see your attention to detail and how you keep complex information organized.
Exercise 1. Organize Contracts
In this exercise, you will create a system for organizing multiple contracts. As you do so, think about why CPA might have use for such a system.
Create a free account on AirTable
In AirTable, create a database for how you would organize the data from these contracts. Hint! Think about what data might be important to capture, especially year after year. Think about the relationships between different types of data.
Optional Bonus. Now that you’ve created a database to organize the contracts, what else can you do to make this information more useful or accessible for others? Remember, not everyone on the team is the most proficient with data tables.
Exercise 2. Review Preferred Vendor Agreement
In this exercise, you will serve as the second set of eyes on a document before it is sent out.
Note what stands out to you, including what appears incorrect, what might be improved, and any questions you have
Write up a summary (this can be simple bullet points)
Submit
Upload a document (PDF, .DOC) to your application. In the document, include the link to the AirTable database you created for Exercise 1 and summary for Exercise 2.
