Utility Letters of Authorization
Energy suppliers require a signed letter of authorization (LOA) before the utility provides usage. Signing the form below is not a commitment to purchase through the co-op. Any cost associated with pulling your usage is born by the 3rd party energy supplier (not you). See FAQs below for more information.
Select the form for your region & utility below. Important: After completing the form, please click through your confirmation email to finish your submission.

No. There is a cost that the utility charges to pull your usage. However, this amount is charged to the 3rd party suppliers.
Q: Why is my account number missing?
Certain utilities request an account number. Please include it if you have it readily available, otherwise we will add your account number to the form on your behalf.
Q: After I electronically sign it, do I need to send it to the utility?
No, we’ll take care of making sure that the form gets to the right place.
Q: After I electronically sign it, do I need to send it to you?
No, we’ll automatically receive a copy of the form once you sign it.
Q: By signing this letter, am I bound in any way to use CPA Co-op to procure my energy?
Signing this letter tells energy utilities to release historical usage information and energy suppliers to provide pricing for your energy accounts to CPA Co-op. It does not require you to purchase energy through CPA Co-op. There is no term length, and the participant can choose a different representative at any time.
